NERS

Many of our vendors have been with us since we opened and their partnership and commitment to our success makes a huge difference in our business. We value our relationships with each of the companies below and consider them to be a part of our team. When you see delivery drivers or sales people come into the café, say 'hi' with the knowledge that they are an integral part of what makes for a pleasant experience at Bewick. Here are some of the important partners that supply us with everything we need to operate our business with excellence

Dogwood Coffee is a specialty roaster based in Minneapolis/St. Paul known for their guiding mission of "coffee for others". They focus on ethical sourcing, building direct relationships with farmers, and mastering the craft of roasting. Their commitment to quality and community mirrors our own values, ensuring that we serve a product that positively impacts both the local neighborhood and the farmers behind every bean.

Baker's Field Flour & Bread is a small-batch bakery and stone mill based in Minneapolis, sourcing grains directly from small family farms across Minnesota and the Upper Midwest, milling them into fresh flour, and using them to create unique sourdough breads and pastries. We partner with them on two fronts — they bake our bread, and we use their stone-milled flour to make our house-made pita — because that level of care, from the grain all the way to the loaf, is exactly the kind of craft we want behind everything we serve.

The Daningers and their top-quality staff run a modern dairy farm using the finest dairy equipment and environmentally sound practices to put fresh milk and milk products on your table. The micro-creamery puts “freshness” in every bottle of milk or cream as the cows’ milk is immediately processed and bottled on-site using low-temperature pasteurization. Pasteurizing at low temperatures allows more flavor to be retained than other higher temperature methods.

ULF is Minnesota and Wisconsin’s largest independent, family-owned food service distributor, serving the Midwest since 1967. They combine extensive product inventory and national buying power with dedicated, local customer support. We choose to partner with them as our broadliner as we value locally owned businesses who want to partner with other local businesses.

Hidden Stream Farm is a 4th-generation family farm located on 180 acres in Elgin, Minnesota, that has been practicing sustainable agriculture since the 1950s. Currently owned and operated by Lisa and Eric Klein, the farm focuses heavily on regenerative farming techniques originally championed by Lisa’s father, Everett Koenig. They specialize in producing all-natural, pasture-raised, and grass-fed meats—including beef, pork, chicken, and lamb—completely free of GMOs, antibiotics, and hormones. Today, the operations continue as a true family business, with the fourth generation actively working full-time to improve the health of the soil, animals, and community

Cheeky Harvest is a small, husband-and-wife-run microgreen and edible flower farm growing right here in St. Paul — everything from micro basil to nasturtiums and viola, hand-harvested within 24 hours of delivery from their indoor farm. We partner with them because we love supporting fellow small business owners pouring themselves into their craft just like we do, and because that kind of care and freshness is exactly what ends up on our plates.

Creekstone Farms is a premium, family-owned Black Angus beef company based in Arkansas City, Kansas. They are highly regarded for their corn-fed, richly marbled beef and operate a state-of-the-art facility designed by animal welfare expert Dr. Temple Grandin. Creekstone Farms processes its cattle using strict Halal standards, their Halal beef is hand-slaughtered by trained Muslim slaughtermen under the official supervision of Halal Transactions of Omaha (HTO).
